How long does it take before I can expect an answer to my registration request?
We always try to be as fast as possible, depending on the total number of pending requests. Our aim is not to exceed 2 working days.
 
Can I track my e-booking on the Swiss WorldCargo website like other traditional bookings?
Yes, Track'n'Trace works for e-bookings as well.
 
Can I only use the FWB + FHL data capture feature without making an e-booking?
Yes, this is possible. However, it is not possible to use it for HAWB only. To submit HAWB data you need to have the AWB captured.
 
How many users can I create as a local branch administrator?
There is no limit, but we strongly recommend to create only as many branch users as needed.
 
How long does it take to confirm my e-booking, if it isn't done automatically?
This might vary depending on the day and time of request. About 90% are confirmed in less than 30 minutes.
 
Who should I contact in case of problems with the usability of the system?

Which flights/destinations are available for e-booking?
Basically the Swiss WorldCargo network.
 
Which Swiss WorldCargo products are available for e-booking?
SWISS General Cargo, SWISS Valuables, SWISS Vulnerables, SWISS Pharma & Healthcare, SWISS Perishables and SWISS Service Freight.
As from the 1st of July 2023, X-Presso is a transportation solution combinable with applicable products via the X-Presso speed checkbox.
 
How long before departure can I book?
The booking window is from 13 days to 2 hours before scheduled departure at origin.
 
How much weight/volume can I book?
There is basically no limit. Certain origins might insert limitations based on flight capacities.
 
What data can I change/update in my e-booking?
Once the booking is successfully submitted, no further changes are possible via the eBooking tool. Please contact your local Swiss WorldCargo organisation in case any updates need to be done.
 
How can I submit special requests for a particular service or handling for my e-booking?
The eBooking tool offers the possibility to submit free text remarks in the booking screen.
 
I don't know the dimensions yet. Can I book my cargo anyway?
Yes, the insertion of the dimensions is optional. But, once the booking is submitted, no updates may be done in the portal. For final dimension details, our local Swiss WorldCargo organisation will be happy to help.
 
Can I retrieve bookings done over the phone also in eBooking?
No, only bookings made via the eBooking tool can be retrieved.
 
How do I negotiate my ad-hoc requests and where do I submit them?
You will need to discuss your ad-hoc requests with the local sales team of Swiss WorldCargo.
 
Why is the "find routing" function rather slow compared to e.g. "submit booking"?
The "find routing" function fetches the flight schedule from the carriers' system. As a matter of fact, this operation is looking for a huge amount of data. As a consequence, this operation needs more time.
 
When I have submitted an e-booking which is not immediately confirmed, how do I know when it is confirmed?
In case of delayed confirmation, an automated e-mail is triggered to the requestor. To benefit from this service, it's necessary that all users from one company are registered by their company administrator individually. If not, the e-mail is being sent to only one person who might not be present at that time.
 
Why is it not possible to amend my e-booking?
Theoretically, it would be possible. But we have disabled this function, as amending a booking would trigger a cancellation of the existing flights and their re-creation. Flights might have filled up and there would be a risk that space is gone. This is why we recommend to call the local Swiss WorldCargo organisation to care for updates.
 
Where can I insert the time in the eBooking tool for the delivery of the cargo to your premises?
Section 4 in the "Booking screen", "Routing details" show "Date and time". The date is defaulted to "today". It can be changed if needed. The time can be left blank or inserted, e.g. 18:00 if the cargo comes at 6 o'clock in the evening. When afterwards "Find routing" is used, the system will display options considering the delivery date and time as inserted.
 
Where can I insert the trader identification such as the EORI/UID-number on Master-AWB -and on House-AWB-level, which is a legal requirement to provide for EU -and Switzerland based consignees? (EORI stands for: Economic Operators Registration and Identification number; UID stands for: Standardized Business Identification number.)
The EORI -or UID-number can be inserted in the 'Consignee name'-section within the box 'Identification Number' valid for both Master-AWB and House-AWB. The box allows up to 35 alpha-numerical characters.
 
Where can I insert the Harmonized Tariff Schedule HS/HTS-codes on Master-AWB -and on House-AWB-level, which is a legal requirement by EU/CH-Customs?
On Master-AWB-level under point 3 'Rating details' you can find a pop-up menu labelled 'HTS codes'. Click there and a separate window opens, where up to 9 Harmonized Tariff Codes can be captured. On House-AWB-level under point 1 'House detail' on top you can find a pop-up menu labelled 'HTS codes'. Click there and a separate window opens, where up to 9 Harmonized Tariff Codes can be captured.
